Kenneth M. Pollack is Director of Research at the Saban Center for Middle East Policy and Senior Fellow in Foreign Policy Studies at The Brookings Institution. He served as Director for Near East and South Asian Affairs and Director for Persian Gulf Affairs on the U.S. National Security Council and as a CIA military analyst on Iran and Iraq. He is the author of Arabs at War, Military Effectiveness: 1948‐1991, Threatening Storm: The Case for Invading Iraq, and The Persian Puzzle: The Conflict Between Iran and America.
